The core structures simulate shipping-containers in size, load-bearing capabilities,
and specifications, and are specially designed and built to unfold into multi-use structures
- Residences, Offices, Laboratories, etc.
The Q2-320, Q2-480, and Q2-960 are 20’ and 40’ containerized structures utilizing a steel frame
built to ISO “Conex” container specifications. The Q2-320, Q2-480 and Q2-960 are placed on-site
and then unfold to create footprints of 320 sq ft, 480 sq ft, and 960 sq ft, respectively, which
is where they get their names.
The containerized structure is placed on either adjustable piers (included with the unit) or
a concrete perimeter foundation poured on-site. The hinged container sides fold down on the
foundation to form the floor, and the wall and roof panels are removed from inside the core
structure and assembled to become a water-proof structure.
All units have overhead lights and can be purchased as storage-type shell versions or customized
as labs with sinks and refrigeration, offices with or without private offices and open areas,
and residential units with bedrooms, ½ or ¾ bath, and kitchenette. The Q2 line can be constructed
to individual customer specifications.
